Konstn\u00e4rsrundan (The artist’s tour)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A 20 km bike ride around beautiful lake Racken, just North of Arvika. The lake which gave its name to the famous Racken painters. Several of the artists lived by the lake and some of their art can be seen at the The Rackstad museum in Taserud. Start or finish your ride with a visit to the museum \u2013 you will recognize some of the subjects and places on your ride around Lake Racken. You can also fortify yourself with a cup of coffee and a pastry in the cosy, comfortable caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round lake Mangen, one of Sweden’s prettiest country road<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A 15 km bike ride. The road to the east of Lake Mangen is part of \u201cSweden\u2019s prettiest country road\u201d along which author Gustav Fr\u00f6ding often walked between his sister in Slorud and his friends at Mangskog\u2019s rectory. The gravel road follows the lake and the rolling countryside, and there is a stunningly beautiful view across Lake Mangen. And why not explore the Gylterud caves on your way to Mangskog. Should you get peckish, there\u2019s a village shop too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glaskogen Nature Reserve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Experience quiet, peaceful, unique natural scenery in Glaskogen Nature Reserve. The narrow gravel roads that meander past lakes and through woods immerse you in a total natural experience. However, the hiking trails are not suitable for cycling. Have a Swedish Fika at Caf\u00e9 Carl in Lenungshammar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around lake R\u00e4nken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A 42 kilometres mountain bike ride around lake R\u00e4nken west of Arvika. A nice family trip, mostly flat and easy but quite long. Most of the road is asphalt and gravel but the first part is an old railway. Experience the beautiful open landscape and calm lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingersbyn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A shorter ride, 34 km, for racer or leisure cycling. Road 175 is not suitable for younger children. This tour guarantees typical West V\u00e4rmland countryside and promises beautiful lakes, picturesque villages, woods and a rolling landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round lake Glafsfjorden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cycle tour of 77 km around the lake Glafsfjorden, not suitable for younger children. This is the region’s classic local tour. Experience every kind of cycling and enjoy the natural scenery around Sweden’s only landlocked fjord. Long, sweeping straight stretches interspersed with hillier sections. You’ll pass classic locations such as Kl\u00e4ssbol, Stavn\u00e4s, Glava and \u00c4lg\u00e5. You can also add the loop around Koppom (+ 64 km) and encounter a bigger challenge. The gradients crossing Finnskogen and Bodafj\u00e4llet together with the long distance, will take their toll. You will definitely be pleased with yourself after a feat like this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arvika – Eda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A tour of 88 km, not suitable for younger children. Whatever direction you take, there are ways to shorten or extend the route to your liking. Even the number of gradients and thus altitude will change according to your choice. So this is an excellent ride on almost carless roads along a route you can change at will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you like adrenaline and steep hills? We do too! Arvika has several challenging mountain bike trails.<\/p>

Mountainbike trail at Vik<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Vik sports area in Arvika there\u2019s a special trail for the very youngest cycle talents aged 3 to 6, with dips, banking and a number of small technical obstacles to negotiate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a pump track for bikers aged 5 to 6 right up to adulthood where you can learn to stay active on your bike and gain speed coming out of turns and dips without having to pedal. A thrilling roller coaster experience that\u2019ll get you grinning from ear to ear. The Flow Trail is a descent with banking and small jumps that takes around 2 glorious minutes. The trail is suitable for children and fully grown cyclists and is ideal for people who love the thrill they get from finding their \u201cflow\u201d during the ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At J\u00f6ssefors sports area Forsh\u00e4lla, about 8 km West of Arvika, there\u2019s a short trail with jumps and banked curves and a longer, technically more difficult track in the woods to suit every mountain bike enthusiast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the harbour there is a skate park with a halfpipe an s pump track that can be used with BMX-bike, inline skates, kickbike or skateboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
