The lake which gave its name to the famous Racken painters. Several of the artists lived by the lake and some of their art can be seen at the The Rackstad museum in Taserud. Start or finish your ride with a visit to the museum \u2013 you will recognize some of the subjects and places on your ride around Lake Racken. You can also fortify yourself with a cup of coffee and a pastry in the cosy, comfortable caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-atheme-component-action-button atheme-wrapper--action-button-single\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitvarmland.com\/arvika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/5-Konstnarsrundan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"a-action a-action--arrow\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Map<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Round lake Mangen, one of Sweden&#8217;s prettiest country road<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A 15 km bike ride. The road to the east of Lake Mangen is part of \u201cSweden\u2019s prettiest country road\u201d along which author Gustav Fr\u00f6ding often walked between his sister in Slorud and his friends at Mangskog\u2019s rectory. The gravel road follows the lake and the rolling countryside, and there is a stunningly beautiful view across Lake Mangen. And why not explore the Gylterud caves on your way to Mangskog. The narrow gravel roads that meander past lakes and through woods immerse you in a total natural experience. However, the hiking trails are not suitable for cycling. A nice family trip, mostly flat and easy but quite long. Most of the road is asphalt and gravel but the first part is an old railway. Road 175 is not suitable for younger children. This tour guarantees typical West V\u00e4rmland countryside and promises beautiful lakes, picturesque villages, woods and a rolling landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-atheme-component-action-button atheme-wrapper--action-button-single\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitvarmland.com\/arvika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/25-Ingersbyn.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"a-action a-action--arrow\" rel=\"noopener\"><span>Map<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Round lake Glafsfjorden<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cycle tour of 77 km around the lake Glafsfjorden, not suitable for younger children. This is the region&#8217;s classic local tour. Experience every kind of cycling and enjoy the natural scenery around Sweden&#8217;s only landlocked fjord. Long, sweeping straight stretches interspersed with hillier sections. You&#8217;ll pass classic locations such as Kl\u00e4ssbol, Stavn\u00e4s, Glava and \u00c4lg\u00e5. You can also add the loop around Koppom (+ 64 km) and encounter a bigger challenge. The gradients crossing Finnskogen and Bodafj\u00e4llet together with the long distance, will take their toll. Whatever direction you take, there are ways to shorten or extend the route to your liking. Even the number of gradients and thus altitude will change according to your choice. We do too! Arvika has several challenging mountain bike trails.<\/p><div class=\"atheme-components-cta--text-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mountainbike trail at Vik<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At Vik sports area in Arvika there\u2019s a special trail for the very youngest cycle talents aged 3 to 6, with dips, banking and a number of small technical obstacles to negotiate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s a pump track for bikers aged 5 to 6 right up to adulthood where you can learn to stay active on your bike and gain speed coming out of turns and dips without having to pedal. A thrilling roller coaster experience that\u2019ll get you grinning from ear to ear. The Flow Trail is a descent with banking and small jumps that takes around 2 glorious minutes.
