Bird Tower Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Norra Hyn is a lake with many nesting bird species that can be observed from the bird tower located at the end of the trail. The tower is a so-called \u201cmorning tower,\u201d meaning the lake is front-lit in the morning, making birdwatching easier. The trail is approximately 1 kilometre long. There is also the option to continue on a 3-kilometre trail from the bird tower to L\u00f6ved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilgrim Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In L\u00f6ved, you\u2019ll find the first marked section in modern-day Sweden of the Pilgrim Trail from Hammar\u00f6 to Nidaros, following the Klar\u00e4lven Valley. The trail is 1 kilometre long and stretches from the Klar\u00e4lven River via Dyvelsten to Norra Hyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Botanical Nature Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The area around L\u00f6ved is rich in biodiversity. Approximately 360 vascular plant species have been recorded here. Of these, 48 are illustrated and described on signs placed along the 2-kilometre trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trail Along the Forshaga Canal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Experience the Forshaga barge canal with its locks. Walk past the locks and along the stone-lined canal. Learn about the canal\u2019s history and enjoy the approximately 750-metre-long trail. At the canal entrance, there is a barbecue area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00c4tter\u00f6s Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00c4tter\u00f6sarna are two burial cairns dating back to the Bronze Age. They are located on top of a rocky outcrop that drops steeply down toward Lake Norra Hyn. It has been speculated that the cliff may once have been used as an \u201c\u00e4ttestupa,\u201d a legendary cliff for ritual suicides, which is where the name originates. The trail is 2 kilometres long and can be accessed from the SISU lodge or L\u00f6ved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SISU Trail \/ D\u00f6mle Trail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The approximately 18-kilometre-long SISU Trail stretches from Frykstastugan in Kil, past the SISU lodge in Forshaga, and on to the ski lodge in Deje. The trail passes through varied forest terrain on roads, paths, and occasionally short sections of unmarked ground. Along the route, you\u2019ll find traces of older times, ranging from charcoal pits to croft ruins and burial sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultural Trail in M\u00f6lnbacka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Cultural Trail is a 5-kilometre route through varied terrain and natural surroundings. The trail passes 15 locations of historical interest. At each site, there is a sign with information about the location and photographs showing what it looked like in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klar\u00e4lvsbanan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Klar\u00e4lvsbanan was a railway line built in the late 19th century. Today, the route is paved and car-free, making it perfect for activities such as cycling, roller skiing, and walking. The trail stretches from Karlstad in the south to Uddeholm in the north and is approximately 90 kilometres long in total. Around 35 kilometres of Klar\u00e4lvsbanan pass through Forshaga area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exercise Trails<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Exercise Trails at Abborrtj\u00e4rn<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A recreation area by Lake Abborrtj\u00e4rn. Here, you\u2019ll find a swimming area, barbecue area, and dry toilet facilities. At S\u00f6rtj\u00e4rn, along the 2.5-kilometre loop, there is a wind shelter with a barbecue area. The surroundings consist of open woodland with a mix of coniferous and deciduous trees. The exercise trails range from 1.5 to 4.5 kilometres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exercise Trails in Skived<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This area is located in gentle terrain above the local heritage centre in Forshaga. Here, you\u2019ll find illuminated trails ranging from 1 to 3 kilometres. Along the 1-kilometre loop, you may encounter trolls and other figures hidden in the forest. During winter, snow permitting, the trails are prepared for cross-country skiing. A barbecue area and dry toilet are available at the trailhead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exercise Trails at the SISU Lodge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A recreational facility in Forshaga with illuminated trails, changing rooms, showers, and a sauna. The trail lengths range from 1 kilometre up to 10 kilometres. There are also mountain bike trails and a reflective trail course. You can also bring the children to search for hidden animals along the trails. Each animal has an information sign where you can learn more along the way. In winter, the trails are prepared for cross-country skiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exercise Trails at the Ski Lodge in Deje<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A recreation area by Lake Skivtj\u00e4rn. Several trails of varying lengths start here, ranging from 2.5 kilometres up to 10 kilometres, with the 2.8-kilometre loop featuring illuminated tracks. When the lodge is open, showers, changing rooms, and a sauna are available. There is also a swimming area and barbecue facilities. During winter, the exercise trails are prepared for skiing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barbecue Areas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are many prepared barbecue areas throughout our municipality where it is safe to light a fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fire Safety<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Only light fires under safe conditions and choose a location where the fire cannot spread, preferably near water. Use gravel or sand as a base \u2013 avoid moss, soil, and rocky surfaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only collect dry sticks and branches from the ground, never from living trees. Special rules may apply in nature reserves, so make sure to check regulations in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During periods of high fire risk, fire bans may be issued by the Rescue Services or the County Administrative Board. During a fire ban, all open fires are prohibited. Always check current information before lighting a fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Right of Public Access is a unique opportunity that allows everyone to move freely in nature, camp, and pick berries, flowers, and mushrooms. This right also comes with a responsibility to show consideration for wildlife and nature, and not to disturb or litter.

Anyone spending time in nature must show respect for plants, animals, landowners, and other people. This applies to everyone who spends time in forests and countryside areas, whether boating, cycling, hiking, making fires, or picking plants and mushrooms.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
