Slottsbron, located by the sparkling shore of Lake Vänern just south of Grums, is a place where nature and culture merge in a unique way.
Here, in the “birthplace” of Sven-Ingvars, you can sense the historical and cultural significance that permeates the area. It was here that the legendary swedish folk band Sven-Ingvars, known for their music and connection to the region, grew up and found their inspiration. Their roots give the place a special charm and a sense of local pride.
The 7 artworks of Sven Erik Magnusson
Sven-Erik Magnusson, the beloved singer from Slottsbron and frontman of the band Sven-Ingvars, is now honored with seven beautiful works of art that preserve his memory throughout Grums Municipality. The artworks, created by the talented artist Bo Jonzon in collaboration with Sven-Erik’s son, Oscar Magnusson, are permanently installed at various locations in the municipality, with two of them in Slottsbron. Each artwork is adorned with a few lines from one of Sven-Erik Magnusson’s most cherished songs, making each installation a living tribute to his music career.

The bridge, spanning over Slottsbrosundet and connecting different parts of the landscape, offers wonderful views of Lake Vänern and the surrounding nature.
Mickelsön
On the western side of the bridge, you’ll find Mickelsön, an island with vast meadows, groves, and trails that invite hiking and outdoor activities. Mickelsön is not only an idyllic spot for summer days by the piers – in winter, the lake freezes, offering the opportunity to skate on the ice.
