Here you will find Värmland’s largest golf club with 27 full-length holes plus the nine-hole Solslingan loop. A well-managed and multifaceted golf facility together with Värmland hospitality that offers both range and indoor hall Drive in.

Here you will also find one of Golfstore’s largest golf shops called Golfstore Flagship Store & Studio. This is actually one of Sweden’s largest on-course stores where you can find a large assortment of clubs, bags, shoes, clothes and other golf gadgets.

When you need to replenish your energy, whether it’s after or before your round of golf, you can do so at Abbes Golfkrog. There you can enjoy both a beautiful view of the golf course and the day’s lunch and their á lá carte.

Hammarö Golfklubb

Out here in the archipelago municipality of Hammarö you will find a challenging and slightly hilly forest and park course in beautiful surroundings with both greenery and water in close proximity. There is a good 18-hole course, a driving range, a short-hole course, the possibility of simulator golf, a shop with a good selection and good food at their restaurant. In addition, the proximity to Lake Vänern provides the conditions for a slightly longer playing season.

If you want to break off the golfing for something else, you can play both padel and footgolf here. What is footgolf, you might ask? Well, it is played with the same rules as regular golf. The difference is that you kick the ball with your feet and that the holes are naturally a little larger than normal holes designed for golf balls. A round takes between 30-60 minutes and you can either bring your own ball or hire one from the club.

Lake Vänern is also close by if you want to take a swim after your round of golf. Or round off the day with a hike or bike ride on scenic Hammarö.

Sommarro Golf

Here you will find golf close to the city on a course just a few minutes from Karlstad city centre. On the old airfield in Karlstad there are 2 golf courses, a 12-hole Inland Links course and a 9-hole Pay and Play course for everyone. You are warmly welcome to their practice area and driving range to practice your swing regardless of your level and previous experience.

In their clubhouse, you can take a much-needed break at their café and restaurant or break away with some pool or even try out their golf simulator.

Bryngfjordens Golfklubb

Near the Klarälven river before the delta you will find Bryngfjorden, a challenging forest course that can offer play from five different tees. Here you will find a full-sized 18-hole course that is well suited to those looking for a full day out, perfect for a day trip. Distances can be varied from about 4200 metres up to more than 6400 metres.

Kils Golfklubb

Here you will play on 18 fine holes in the neighbourhood of the long narrow lake Fryken. Here and there you will see the sparkling water between the trees during your relaxing round.

Something that is a bit unique and well worth mentioning is that you have the opportunity to stay right here on the course. Kils Golf Club offers their guests accommodation in two cosy cottages with beds for 4 people in both. They are richly equipped with, among other things, hobs, microwave, fridge, barbecue and outdoor furniture.

And the golf club also boasts an award-winning golf restaurant where you are guaranteed to be more than satisfied after a visit there. It was named Sweden’s best golf restaurant in 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2021, and in 2022 it came in an honourable second place. There you get a nice view of Fryken while you are well taken care of by the service-oriented staff.

For those of you with an electric car, there is also the happy news that the golf club has two charging posts where your car can be charged while you are out on the green swinging hard.

Located on the shores of Lake Vänern with green forest groves nestled in the beautiful nature, you will find Billerud’s golf course. Here you will be able to concentrate on your swing because the surroundings are so magically beautiful.

You can also try playing simulator golf, which is becoming increasingly popular. It works very well both for those who want to get a few hours of qualified training and for a happy group of friends who want to try playing a well-known course. And then when your stomach is rumbling, a visit to their golf restaurant called Valnäs Bistro is recommended. It offers well-prepared food and coffee bread along with full rights for those who want to treat themselves to a drink.

To make it easier for their guests, they also offer the possibility of accommodation right by the golf course. In the main building there are 5 double rooms and 1 single room. Here guests share a toilet, shower room and sauna. There is also wifi and a lounge area with TV.
