Sjöänd Fortlet

During the war many defense establishments were built near the Swedish border to prevent an eventual invasion.
The establishment was to prevent a military advance towards Glafsfjorden. This fortlet is one of the largest and best preserved in Sweden.

The fortlet enclosed about 30 000 m2 and all over there are wellpreserved satefy devices.

Unnamed Road, 672 91 Årjäng

Drive the road 172 towards Arvika about 10 km. At sign " Glaskogen Naturreservat ", turn right and drive about 17 km. The fortlet is on the right hand.
