By the northern end of lake Bysjön, at Lerot, is one of Eda Municipality's best birding sites. The lake is relatively shallow and in the reedy bays, there are many
breeding and migrating birds. Cattle graze on the meadows which attract many waders. An observation tower for the public is placed at the edge of a leafy meadow. Bysjön is Eda Municipality's third largest lake and has one of the most richest of bird species. Several species have been observed from the bird tower, i.e. brown and blue harrier.
