Gamla kraftstationen

Gamla Kraftstationen in Deje is a unique art gallery where industrial history meets contemporary art. This early 20th-century building, with its 11-metre-high ceilings and preserved original details, has been transformed into a vibrant destination for art, creativity and culinary experiences.

Season 2026

The art gallery presents a wide range of techniques and artistic expressions, featuring works by both established artists and emerging talents. Highlights include Visual Poetry by Hellstrom Street Art, Det kunde varit vi by Glada Hudikteatern and Magnus Laupa, Nexus Anima Mundi by Robin Lindström and Synnöve Orebjörk, and Någonstans längst stigen by Hilma and Jörgen Franzon.

Events

During your visit, you can experience Artists in Action in both the Northern and Southern Studios, located in the Annex building. Here, visitors have the opportunity to watch artists at work and gain insight into their creative process.

Later in the season, Klarälvshyttan will also open, offering the chance to see live glassblowing and experience traditional craftsmanship up close.

Culinarum Café

At Culinarum Café, you can enjoy food, coffee, ice cream and freshly baked treats in a unique setting where industrial heritage, contemporary art and views of the Klarälven River come together. The café focuses on seasonal ingredients and locally sourced produce whenever possible, offering rustic flavours with a refined touch.
