NKlJ: Nordmark - Klarälvens railway.
History: In the beginning, Uddeholmsbolaget had operations spread over large areas which led to many problems. Therefore, they decided to build a railway. Since another company was building a railway from Filipstad to Nordmark during the same time, Uddeholmsbolaget decided to cooperate. NKlJ was founded to operate the railway, and took eventually over several railways in Värmland which led to a railway that went from Skohall, through Karlstad, Munkfors, Hagfors to Filipstad. Total 180 km long railway.
From the 50's and forward, the railway was shutdown and they began to remove the railway. It is only a few km remaining today.
At Hagfors Järnvägsmuseum you can find more information about NKlJ-banan, you can also find old locomotive and wagons that ones went on the old railway. There is also an opportunity to go trolley from the museum to Stjärnfors Kvarn.
