At Mosserud Farm, you have many opportunities to enjoy wonderful horseback riding experiences. They offer riding lessons, riding camps, and courses for both children and adults. For those who prefer not to ride, horse-and-carriage rides are also available. There are around 20 horses here, ranging from ponies of various sizes to Fjord horses, warmbloods, thoroughbreds, Lipizzaners, Oldenburgs, and SWB horses.
You are guaranteed to find a horse that suits you and your skill level. You can choose whether you want to ride in the arena with an instructor or head out on one of the cozy riding trails in the area. You can also opt for a multi-day trail ride with overnight stays. A guide, helmet, and safety vest are included. Of course, everyone—young and old—is welcome to groom and brush their horse or pony before and after riding. Shorter and longer trail rides are also arranged, with stops in the forest for coffee breaks or sausage grilling. If you are curious about what it feels like to swim with a horse, that is also possible.
Mosserud Farm also offers fun horse-themed children’s parties, as well as five-event and ten-event competitions for occasions such as bachelor or bachelorette parties, with or without riding. Activities are adapted to the participants’ ages. There is a lovely barbecue area by a nearby pond where you can end the day if you wish.
If you would like to bring your own horse on holiday, you can board it at Mosserud. Both stalls and pasture are available.
If you want to stay close to your four-legged friend—or if you don’t ride but would still like to stay overnight at the farm—there are several accommodation options, with or without meals. Choose between motorhomes, a large military tent, a small cabin with four beds, or a cottage with eight beds.
