In Skärmnäs, near Edane, you can rent canoes at Sandvikengården. Edane also offers a restaurant, grocery store, bank, and hairdresser. From the railway station in Edane, you can catch a train to Arvika, Charlottenberg, and Oslo, or travel in the opposite direction to Karlstad, Kristinehamn, and Stockholm.
