Discover Arvika in a truly new way – with pen and paper in hand. This three-hour guided tour combines a town walk, architecture, and creative expression into a unique experience.
Together with Sanne Pawelzyk, you will explore the town and delve into its history, architecture, and the distinctive atmosphere shaped by Swedish National Romanticism. At the same time, you’ll receive an introduction to architectural sketching – explained simply and suitable for beginners.
Along the way, there will be short stops for sketching, allowing you to capture your impressions on the spot. By the end of the tour, you’ll have something truly personal in your hands: your own hand-drawn postcards from Arvika – ready to send or keep as a memory.

Time: During June, July, and August on Wednesdays and Sundays, 2 pm - 5 pm. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours.
Start: At Trefaldighetskyrkan (Trinity Church in the town centre)
Format: Guided urban sketching workshop with a cultural-historical focus.

Materials: Drawing materials (postcards, pencil) are included – you are welcome to bring your own materials if you prefer.
Languages: The guide speaks Swedish, English, and German.
Guide: Sanne Pawelzyk is an artist and art educator with a focus on collaborative practices and drawing. In her course on architectural drawing, she combines artistic research with an open, experience-based approach in which perception, exchange, and collective learning are central. She invites participants to use drawing as a tool to consciously perceive space and develop their own perspectives.
