Celebrate an outstanding life’s work with Åsa Jinder – one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and versatile musicians – as she marks 50 years as an artist with a long-awaited Sweden tour.
The audience is invited to a unique afternoon filled with music, stories, and powerful emotions in the heart of Värmland.
Åsa Jinder is not just an artist – she is a living piece of Swedish musical history. At just 15 years old, she became Sweden’s youngest ever riksspelman, and the following year she released her debut album. Since then, she has captivated audiences for over five decades with her nyckelharpa, her voice, and her strong stage presence.
She has received top critical acclaim, performed solo at the Nobel Banquet, and appeared on international stages – including as part of the group Secret Garden with the Eurovision Song Contest winning piece “Nocturne.” In Sweden, she is also the only artist to have been granted an audience with the Emperor of Japan. Her music has achieved gold and platinum success, and the song “Av längtan till dig” is one of Sweden’s most beloved wedding songs.
But her artistry goes far beyond music. She made her literary debut with Albert Bonniers Förlag in 1990 and has since written two novels. She also wrote all lyrics for the critically acclaimed musical “Vänd om min längtan” and created the script and direction for her own production “Det hände i Hårga,” a musical based on her own songs. As a former member of the Swedish Arts Council, she has also helped shape Sweden’s cultural life.
This is more than a concert – it is a reflection of a unique career, a musical legacy, and an artist who has touched generations. Experience tradition meeting the present in an environment that enhances every note.
