During Heritage Day, Ransäter hembygdsgård showcases how traditional crafts and skills can still be relevant today, with plenty of opportunities to try them for yourself.
During the day, you can:
try needle felting and spinning yarn with a drop spindle in Ullstugan.
try baking bread in the traditional bakehouse.
make simple wooden items, such as crochet hooks and butter knives.
see artist Janove Ekstedt’s coffee-flowing artwork Brun sammet, previously exhibited at Alma Löv and Konstfrämjandet Värmland.
enjoy a traditional Swedish fika, a coffee gathering with seven kinds of biscuits and cakes.
discover the homestead’s eight museums in a whole new way – with the launch of a new digital guide and specially designed audio experiences.
Waffles and hot dogs will be available to buy throughout the day.
Admission to the event and all museums is free.
