Inspired by current events, favourite characters or nostalgic themes, creativity is encouraged – and rewarded.
On St Knut’s Day (Twelfth Night Knut), everyone can be someone – or something – else for a while, with prizes awarded for the best costumes.
The festival is a more than 100-year-old tradition and takes place outdoors in the schoolyard of Munkerud School.
Visitors can enjoy music and dancing around the Christmas tree, a performance by the Gundega Ballet, and the sale of warming mulled wine and traditional Swedish sausages.
Father Christmas will also make a special appearance and hand out goodie bags to all children.
The event is held outdoors, so warm clothing is recommended.
Please note: The festival may be cancelled in the event of severe or unsuitable weather.
