Music for the Eyes festival begins on Friday, August 14, and runs until Saturday, August 15.
Långban Mining Village is the world’s most mineral‑rich location, and new minerals are still being discovered here today. It is a place where active mining took place from the 1500s until the 1970s. During those centuries, sound waves and frequencies traveled across the area — which has since then remained completely silent.
For two days in August, these spaces and environments will once again be filled with sound, music, and art.
The festival is carried out in collaboration with Värmlands Museum, and with support from Filipstad Municipality, the Swedish Arts Council, and Region Värmland.
