Forshaga Municipality is located in southern Värmland, approximately 20 km north of Karlstad. Karlstad is well connected by bus, train, and air. From there, the easiest way to reach us is by bus, car, or bicycle via the Klarälvsbanan trail. We look forward to welcoming you!

Getting here by bus is easy and convenient. From Karlstad, departures run every 20 minutes for much of the year. Between 12 June and 13 August, you can bring your bicycle on selected routes, including Route 600, which connects to the Klarälvsbanan trail.

Did you know that Forshaga Municipality has the second-highest amount of cycle paths per resident in Sweden? Klarälvsbanan offers 90 km of car-free paved cycling from Karlstad in the south to Uddeholm in the north. The trail runs directly through our municipality and passes through both Forshaga and Deje.
By Car
If you are visiting our municipality by car, you will find parking conveniently located in our town centres. There are plenty of parking spaces available in the central areas of both Deje and Forshaga.
