kmThe Kyckling Trail – Hiking in Nature by Lake Vänern
The Kyckling Trail is an approximately six-kilometre-long, quality-assured Värmland hiking trail that takes you through the beautiful natural surroundings of the Kyckling Valley. The trail starts and ends at Buda Beach in Liljedal, where parking is also available.
The hike offers varied terrain and follows the shores of Lake Vänern along parts of the route. Along the way, you will encounter rocky landscapes, beautiful scenery and several places where you can stop and enjoy the surroundings.
Nature and Beautiful Views
The Kyckling Trail takes you through varied natural surroundings with unusual flora and abundant birdlife. Parts of the trail run close to Lake Vänern, offering beautiful views across the water.
The trail also includes some steeper sections, where the effort is rewarded with stunning views of Lake Vänern and the surrounding landscape.
Take a Break Along the Way
There are rest areas and a wind shelter along the trail where you can take a break during your hike. There are also opportunities for both swimming and fishing along the route. Why not start or finish your hike with a refreshing swim at Buda Beach?
