Värmskogs Café – Swedish fika and famous shrimp sandwiches by scenic Lake Värmeln
Värmskogs Café is beautifully located by the shores of Lake Värmeln at Liljenäs Heritage Centre. Visitors come from near and far to enjoy good food and fika in a peaceful and scenic setting.
The menu includes freshly brewed coffee, the café’s well-known shrimp sandwiches, pastries, ice cream and light meals. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and takeaway is also available.
The café is a popular destination in Värmland and welcomes around 80,000 visitors every summer.

Good to know before your visit
The café is accessible, with ramps to both the entrance and the toilet. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area but are not permitted inside the café.
Food and fika are available to take away. The café does not accept cash payments; you can pay by card.
Table reservations are not available, and there are no motorhome pitches at the café.
Mini golf and experiences
Why not combine your fika with a round of mini golf? Värmskogs Café has a 12-hole mini golf course suitable for visitors of all ages.
Next to the café, you will also find one of seven artworks created in memory of Sven-Erik Magnusson, who was the lead singer of Sven-Ingvars for 60 years. The artworks were designed by artist Bo Jonzon and can be found at various locations throughout Grums Municipality.
