Rigmor Gustafsson
Acclaimed jazz singer Rigmor Gustafsson took the journey from the quiet forests of Värmland to the bustling streets of New York and has since established herself as one of Europe’s leading jazz artists. Her impressive career includes ten solo albums and several international awards, including The Royal Musical Academy’s Jazz Award and Sveriges Radio’s Guldkatten, reflecting her constant desire to grow and explore new musical directions.
Despite her success, Rigmor remains deeply connected to her roots on a small farm in Värmskog, Grums Municipality, where she grew up surrounded by nature and animals. In this rural part of Värmland, life was shaped by self-sufficiency and hard work, creating a timeless harmony between people and nature. It was here, among the forests, cows and chickens, that Rigmor learned to appreciate the simple things in life – something that is still reflected in her honest and down-to-earth music.
