Skalltjärn is a put-and-take lake, meaning that catch-ready fish are stocked regularly. Stocking takes place 3–4 times per year.
There are five shelters, four fire pits, and an accessible fishing jetty by the lake.

Rules
Fishing methods: bait fishing, fly fishing, spinning, and ice fishing.
Limits: A maximum of one rod and two fish per day per permit, perch does not count. Only one permit per person per day.
Children: Children up to and including 12 years may fish on a guardian’s permit (maximum of two fish in total).
Prohibited: boats or any type of floating craft, dead or live bait fish, groundbaiting, and echo sounders.
Winter fishing: Good ice fishing for char when road conditions allow. Please note that the road is not regularly ploughed, only sporadically.
A fishing permit is always required.
A control fee of SEK 500 applies for any breach of regulations, and the matter may be reported to the police. The permit expires at midnight (24:00) and must be carried while fishing and shown upon request to fishing right holders or inspectors.
