Hästskoholmen combines important natural values with recreational opportunities in a culturally and historically significant setting. The area is home to several rare plant and animal species and has therefore been designated as a protected nature reserve.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the surroundings, but please be mindful that special regulations apply in order to protect the environment.
The following activities are prohibited:
Driving motor vehicles
Horseback riding
Camping or pitching tents
Letting dogs off the leash (dogs must be leashed at all times)
Lighting fires, except in designated fire places
Disturbing wildlife
Leaving litter or waste
Damaging living or dead trees, shrubs, or other vegetation
Installing signs, boards, posters, billboards, or similar structures
Organising competitions or events
