The homesteads peak season is between June and September. During this period thousands of visitors come by to either participate in events, visit the museums, have a wedding or simply to sleep.
Some of the big events are Bälgspel vid landsvägskanten - one of the world's largest accordion festivals, Ransätersstämman and the antique and collectors fair.
Besides the many events there are also a dussin museums that describe the life and local industries throughout history. The home, agriculture and forestry are reflected in a living environment.
The area also have cottages and a campground, an inn, a store and a café as well as an amphitheater. The homestead is a great place for weddings and conferences.
Other opening hours and entrance fees may apply during events. Guided tours must be booked in advance.
