Gillberga Hembygdsförening was founded in 1934. Gillberga Hembygdsförening manages several buildings such as the Hembygdsgården which is a typical so-called side chamber cottage, the old market stalls where markets have been held for many decades. The old granary which is adjacent to the market area was used, according to information in old documents, as a prison for drunkards and brawlers who were taken into custody in the market and is colloquially known as the "finkan". In 2004, the "object magazine" was inaugurated, what is now the Gillberga Homestead museum.
Gillberga Hembygdsmuseum is centrally located, near the old market stalls in Nysäter. A little further down the street is the Handicraft Café.
