On the way out to Lurö you can see Djurö's profile, the natural harbor Aspholmen and Gunnarsholmens lighthouse and there are good opportunities to see both osprey and sea eagles. You get out to Lurö and Luröbryggan by boat, regular boat trips from Ekenäs guest harbor to Lurö with the Luröbåten from midsummer day through August out.
Explore the island by hiking, visit the small farm museum with old artifacts from fishing, facts about the island and about everyday life at Lurö. Tthe museum itself is an old ice cellar. From the center of Säffle drive Näsvägen towards Ekenäs by Värmlandsnäs. Follow the signs. The last bit to Ekenäs, the road is very narrow. It is approximately 40 kilometers from the center to Ekenäs.
