The Fänstjärnsskogen nature reserve consists of different types of nature, from marshland to pines. The forests in the reserve have been intact and nearly unchanged for a long time. The oldest forest is 200-250 years old, and some of the pines are 300 years old. A considerable number of endangered species can be found here. There is a walking trail (ca 2 km long) with information about the history of the forests.
