Lake Skagern has been named one of Sweden’s 15 best swimming lakes by the travel magazine Allt om Resor.
At Gottbolsbadet in Rudskoga, about 40 km south of Kristinehamn, you’ll find a popular beach with shallow waters, making it ideal for families and swimmers of all ages. Relax on the wide 400-metre sandy beach, take a refreshing dip from the swimming pier, or let the children enjoy the playground.
For your convenience, the area offers barbecue facilities, an outdoor toilet, and a seasonal restroom. Dogs are welcome in the area, but swimming is not permitted for pets.
