Indoor cross-country skiing
Torsby Ski Tunnel opened in 2006 and was Sweden’s first indoor arena for cross-country skiing. Inside, stable winter conditions and a temperature of around -3°C provide reliable snow conditions even when there is no snow outdoors.
Hilly and varied skiing
The track is approximately 1.3 kilometres long and follows the natural terrain, with both climbs and descents. The elevation difference is 12 metres, and each lap includes around 25 metres of climbing. The eight-metre-wide track has trails for both classic and freestyle skiing. As the tunnel can be skied in both directions, you can enjoy more than 2.5 kilometres of varied skiing.
For beginners and experienced skiers
The ski tunnel is used by everyone from beginners and recreational skiers to elite athletes. Ski instruction can be booked if you want to get started or improve your technique. Changing rooms with showers, toilets and a sauna are located right next to the tunnel.
Torsby Skidtunnel & Sportcenter är ett område som utgår från friluftsområdet Valberget, endast några kilometer från Torsby centrum. Där finns Torsby Skidtunnel, gym, vandringsleder, skidspår och utegym med mera.
