Sandvikarna Beach on Vålön is a true paradise for families with children. The beach offers a playground, changing cabin, outdoor toilet, freshwater well, barbecue areas, and information boards, making it easy to enjoy a full day by the water.
Vålön is connected to Kalvön and Sibberön by bridges along the scenic 4 km hiking trail, Tre Öars Led ("The Three Islands Trail").
Dogs are welcome at Sandvikarna, but swimming is not permitted at this particular beach. They are, however, allowed to swim in other areas around the island.
Getting There
In summer, boat bus 97, Stöten, operates between Vålösundsbryggan, next to Café Pärlan, and Vålön. Read more about boat bus 97 and its schedule here.

From Kristinehamn's center drive towards the Picasso Sculpture / Archipelago. At Café Pärlan turn left and follow signs for parking. Park the car and take the walk past Café Pärlan to the boat pier which is just beyond.
