Café in a 19th-century house at Kristinehamn Folk Museum, with homemade cakes, bread, sandwiches, waffles and light lunches.
Norrgårdens Café is located at Kristinehamn Folk Museum, in a red 19th-century house with white trim. The café has served homemade fika in this historic setting since 1995.
It is a place to pause during a walk around the folk museum, a visit among the old buildings or a moment in the green park surroundings. The area has grassy spaces, trees and a stream running through it, making the café a calm stop close to both nature and local history.
Norrgårdens Café serves homemade cakes and pastries, bread, sandwiches, waffles and light lunches. The selection may vary over time and by season.
Norrgården was built in the 1860s and was previously located on Gamla Kyrkogatan in central Kristinehamn. The building was originally mainly a residential house, but has also housed a café and a hat shop.
On the ground floor, Beda Klementina Tyssling ran a café and was known for her cakes. The building also housed Hildur Sofia Nilsson’s hat shop.
Today, Norrgården is part of Kristinehamn Folk Museum, where old buildings from different parts of Kristinehamn have been gathered and preserved. Together with the café, the setting makes the place a destination for both fika and local history.
