Explore the Kristinehamn Archipelago

Getting here is easy.
From the town centre, it’s just a few kilometres to Vålösundet and the waterfront promenade that leads all the way to the sculpture by Pablo Picasso and the Vänern horizon. The route follows Vålösundet and is just as suitable for cycling as it is for walking.
Along the way, you’ll find bathing spots, a winter sauna, playgrounds, restaurants and cafés open during the summer.
It’s not about doing lots of things here – it’s about being close to Lake Vänern.

There are many places around Kristinehamn where the horizon over Lake Vänern opens up. Pack a picnic, settle down on a rock or by a fire pit and take your time with the view.
When the sun sets over Lake Vänern, it becomes clear why many people choose to stay a little longer.
Watching the sun set over the uninterrupted horizon of Lake Vänern is a magical experience.
