Skidor i Värmland

Here you can challenge yourself on black slopes and in snow parks, or practise on easier, longer slopes. Get your heart rate up with cross-country skiing, or glide steadily through the tracks in a fairytale winter forest. Värmland offers several kilometres of cross-country skiing trails for both beginners and elite skiers.

Branäs – a paradise for families

Branäs is a well-planned ski resort that offers skiers the best possible experience. The alpine ski area is large, with 21 lifts that take you up to 30 slopes of varying difficulty, where you can choose the descent that suits you best. Branäs offers something for the whole family, with an amusement park featuring jumps and rails and a large airbag for those who want to jump high and land softly. Choose between a cottage, apartment or hotel right by the slopes and finally indulge yourself with the fine selection of restaurants at the top and down in the valley.

Hovfjället with its beautiful nature

Hovfjället is one of Sweden’s southernmost mountains and is a very beginner-friendly ski resort. The 14 slopes are divided into seven green, five red and three black slopes, so there are plenty of challenges for experienced skiers side by side with beginners. Hovfjället is a nature reserve and is worth a visit even without skis or a snowboard to explore the beautiful scenery. For example, on a snowmobile through the white snowy world. In the area itself, you can choose ski-in/ski-out at either a cottage, hostel or campsite, and there are also several good accommodation options in the area around the mountain.
